How partnerships with the LA Kings, Daniel Suárez, and Wagmor Pets continue to take ZippyPaws audience outreach and philanthropic opportunities to new levels!
NHL’s Los Angeles Kings
ZippyPaws’ ongoing partnership with the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings has provided us with many opportunities to engage fans, raise awareness for pet-focused charitable organizations and support community outreach initiatives across Southern California.
For two years in a row, ZippyPaws has participated in the annual LA Kings 5K race in Redondo Beach in support of Kings Care Foundation. Additionally, ZippyPaws presented the “We Are All K-9s” fundraising calendar, featuring LA Kings players and their pups. We also partnered with the LA Kings to engage with thousands of fans through the “Bark Madness” bracket challenge social activation.
ZippyPaws was also on hand for multiple LA Kings Fan Fest events at Crypto.com Arena, where we handed out hundreds of free dog toys and made new friends while accumulating over 600 email addresses from NHL and ZippyPaws fans.
In addition to Fan Fest, ZippyPaws also hosted two ZippyPaws game nights that featured branded and custom LA Kings dog toy giveaways, fun pup-centric activations, very special pup puck drops, and an on-ice dog race. Each ZippyPaws night was attended by approximately 15,000 fans, with 12,000 toys being handed out to attendees, and any remaining toys being donated to our friends at spcaLA and Wags and Walks.
Daniel Suárez
One of the most exciting and fulfilling opportunities we currently enjoy is our organic partnership with NASCAR Cup Series driver, Daniel Suárez. We first met Daniel in 2022 at the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum exhibition race held at the at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. We instantly bonded with Daniel over our mutual love of animals and have since fostered a relationship that transcends business. We think of Daniel as a member of our ZippyPaws family and consider ourselves lucky to have him as an amigo.
In 2022, ZippyPaws hosted a co-branded Meet & Greet at Indian Valley Brewing with Daniel prior to his race at Sonoma Raceway, where he finished first place in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 and became the first Mexican-born driver to win a NASCAR cup series race. ZippyPaws is excited to announce that we will be returning to wine country this year to host the same event, giving fans an opportunity to meet Daniel and score some cool ZippyPaws toys!
Followers of ZippyPaws social media accounts are regularly treated to social activations, like the National Dog Day Instagram reel that tied together Daniel’s Coca-Cola and ZippyPaws partnerships. Followers of NASCAR have seen Daniel toss out ZippyPaws Donutz toys during his introduction at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, and attendees of the final NASCAR Cup Series race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana saw us cheer on Daniel with our large ZippyPaws billboard next to the track.
Daniel’s top 10 picks of his favorite ZippyPaws toys appears on our website – and with the arrival of ZippyClaws cat toys, Daniel has been actively involved in introducing our new cat toys to the world via social media posts.
Wagmor Pets
Over the past couple of years, ZippyPaws has worked with Wagmor Pets, a 501c3 organization whose mission is to rescue animals in need and find them forever homes. ZippyPaws has hosted Wagmor Pets at one of our popular sample sales, providing an on-site adoption opportunity for attendees, generating over $10K in profits, with leftover inventory being donated to their nonprofit.
ZippyPaws collaborated with Wagmor Pets for the 2023 LA Kings “We Are All K-9s” to feature some of their adoptable pets alongside LA Kings players. We’ve also worked with Wagmor on their Pet Gala fundraising event, helping raise money to support the charitable work that they do. Our staff enjoyed partaking in a team volunteer day at the Wagmor facility, and one of our wonderful employees even welcomed a dog from Wagmor Pets into their home.
