ZippyPaws has launched a new fresh line of cat toys, ZippyClaws, as of February 2023! The full collection includes new categories as well as some re-imagined ZippyPaws classics.
Director of Marketing and Communications, Ashley Newman, reflects on the launch of ZippyClaws and how demand led us to expand and create products for our feline companions.
“ZippyPaws is known for designing and manufacturing pet toys and accessories that push innovation. Now – after a decade – it’s heralded as a titan in the pet industry,” stated Newman.
As the company continued to grow, there was constant feedback from customers:
“These toys are great! But what about my cat…”
“My cat actually loves the burrows!”
“Have you ever thought about making cat toys?”
Then came April Fools and the prank that was heard around the pet industry.
“What started out as a harmless joke of announcing the launch of a fake cat brand on social media, turned into heartfelt disappointment that it wasn’t really happening,” Newman explained.
Consumers and pet retailers alike shared in their dismay.
As the comments poured in, the message became too deafening to ignore. Our Co-founder and Vice President, Jen Glaser, realized that the same need for safe and aesthetically pleasing toys existed for felines as well.
Newman summarized, “We’ve incorporated all the values that you’ve come to trust from ZippyPaws dog toys and bring you… ZippyClaws! And fear not, we have just as many in-house cat fanatics to make sure that our cat toys are held to the same standards as our dog toys.”

The new ZippyClaws line features unique categories including Kickerz, Zippy Sticks, Catnip Crusherz. The line also includes iconic, tried and true categories, such as Zippy Burrows, NomNomz, and multipacks.
